Hi. Just thought I would send on an old poster, and some memories. I was the guy who booked Tribe on their “Holiday Inn” Tour, including one of their last shows. They had the meeting about it with Danny Bennett in a room while I was trying to lay out deli trays. The room, while out in Peabody, had great sound, an appreciative crowd, and actual food and drink that mattered I remember that It took me a while to convince “Rocco” the manager of the hotel and Ovations that rock shows would do well up there and not tear the nuts out of the joint. I also enjoyed the fact that when I booked shows up there, I could offer the bands and me a room and almost a mini-vacation. I would pretty much just walk into the kitchen and make grilled cheese sandwiches at 5AM which was cool, and I remember the opening bands messing with some hot TWA stewardess, so I think it was a well-liked gig. I love and miss The Rat and a dozen other venues around the country that have the vibe that really speaks to the core of “Rock”, but the way we got treated and the shows that we did in that cover band/line dance bar were some of the best. Musically as well. Notary Public was coming into their own, and had a little run latter as something called Karmasonic. They were a great match as a Tribe opener. Great site Steve. Thanks for putting the shows up for all to enjoy. Kit

I was at that show. It is also recorded and posted under the live section. Glad I got to see one of these last shows.

...and thank you so much for posting that. Was so happy to hear that show. Tickled me to listen to my intro telling the audience "you keep selling out the joint, and we’ll keep bringing them back", when I knew that in a month, they would no longer be a band.

I was at this show as well! It followed a period of a few months where my sister, a few friends and I saw Tribe whenever and wherever they played. We lived one town over and to have them in our backyard was epic to us.
We still chuckle over the fact that we saw a really great rock show in the local Holiday Inn. There's a chain italian restaurant in place of Ovations now, and every so often when I drive by, I think of what a great show that was and how heartbroken we all were when we heard Tribe was no more.
