Dave, I remember White Elephant being covered at a show that I saw, and I believe that you actually came out from thedrums & sang lead, while someone else played drums (can't remember) - I think it must have been when VS disbanded... it was a memory!
I remember To Sir With Love too! Forgot about that one. Thanks.

Dave:
I think it real cool that you check in from time to time. I know it makes me feel to have some sort of personal connection to the band after all these years. Tribe really had a devout fan base whose interest has stood the test of time. I am thrilled to hear you are amenable to doing a reunion show. Take care.

the ones I remember (which I have rough recording of) are:
Godzilla (BOC cover) Blue Spark (X cover)
Steve, I sent you those a while back, hoping you got them, along with some live songs from the Rumble show (Go, Speed, Stevie)?

I did not get them. If you can send those again that would be great. Make sure you put Tribe in the subject so I will not delete it.

OK, people... let's release the hounds and find the name of track #2 of live at the Channel '89.
Secondly, I'm interested in any recorded versions of tribe songs period. Specifically:
1. "Vast Wastelands" from live shows around 90-92? 2. "Unknown Title" played live with an eery, perhaps middle eastern harmony by the ladies and Gregg playing a very tribal rythm through out on additional percussion.

Bill....sounds like your talking about the song Goodbye Harry!! It was the first Tribe song I ever heard live as they opened with it at The Paradise in late 1990 at my first show. eerie? you got it! It sounded like they were putting a spell on the audience.......it worked on me as I'm still under it!

Thanks John,
I definitely saw them do this Goodbye Harry at the Paradise twice in two close together shows and never again. It seemed to me that it was a work in progress they may have given up on. Why? I'm guessing they found the Janet/Terri harmony was messy and too hard to get right. That's what I was thinking as I saw them do it.
Never the less, it was magical and I'd love to hear it again.
So, if anyone (hello, band members) has and info or thoughts on it (or info/ recordings of this or Vast Wastelands) I love to hear it.

John, THANKS much for the Casino MP3s! Interesting that they didn't play Daddy's Home - maybe they played it before you started recording. But lots of great songs from the Sleeper album. The cover is called Jak, originally by The Volcano Suns & was on their album Bright Orange Years (good luck finding a copy) - I can't wait to fully hear this.
Steve, thanks again for putting this site together. We wouldn't be able to share these gems otherwise.

Tim
The Casino show is in its entirety. I think they just needed to make room for new songs. It was recorded on an AIWA stereo cassette walkman with a separate microphone........I have upgraded since then.
