A lot of people have found my website because they where searching the net for a copy of the Here At The Home CD. I don't know where you can get a copy of the disc, but you can try here: www9.gemm.com/c/search-for-search_no_intermediate-is-1-and-artist-is-TRIBE.htmlTo me the songs on Here At The Home sound like demos of the songs on Abort. Three of the songs where actually on the ep (Lemmings, Pinwheels & Vigil). Pinwheels sounds like an early version of Supercollider with different lyrics.

I'd be willing to sell my copy of the CD (original, with booklet, not a CD-R). Make me an offer! mriddle3@san.rr.com

You guys are not going to believe me! I was at my local Newbury Comics today and in the used CD section in the misc T area I found my 2nd copy of Here At The Home. I could not believe my eyes. It was only $7.99. I had to buy it, I could not help myself. There is a copy on www.gemm.com right now for $150.00

Steve:
Congratulations that's great. I have been looking around for a while. There have been a couple on Ebay in the $150 - $160 range for the past few months. Unfortunately, just too big a number for me.
If you hear of anyone interested in selling a copy - please let us know.

Here At The Home is one of my favorite records. It is the same music I was transfixed by when I heard it on 'FNX and in the two live shows I saw (Bunratty's and that little club off US3 in Billerica). I remember the excitement around the news that Tribe had signed up with producer Gil Norton to work on their major label debut. Since I didn't have a copy of Here At The Home at the time, I went out and bought Abort as soon as it was out. When I listened to it, I was crushed. The changes made to most of the carryover songs, particularly Daddy's Home and Tied, obliterated their emotional power for me. I listened to Abort only one or two more times, and have often wondered how far they could have gone if Norton (or whoever) hadn't tinkered with those songs. When I met someone who had a copy of Here At The Home, I jumped at the chance to borrow it and record it onto VHS HiFi audio (no MP3s then). A few years later, and Halleluia! I found a copy in a used CD store. I've been happy ever since.
I've often wondered what happened to Janet and the other band members, and I'm thrilled to finally find out. Great band, great site, great idea for a reunion!

I have an extra copy of the "Here At The Home" CD. It is missing the front artwork and has a few minor scratches, but plays fine. Anybody want it? --David

I only listen to Hear at the Home - it brings me way back to their live shows.
