It seems like a couple of the band members are really busy working at Harmonix Music Systems in Central Square (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmonix_Music_Systems) - "Guitar Hero", "Rock Band". I hope they make a zillion dollars off stock options then retire from high tech and head back into the studio to make their own stuff.... I'm glad they're into something way successful anyhow. They deserve it.

I vote YES!
Couple of things I'd like to address with Rock Band, since this seems to be a place where the important people who created it stays in touch with the Webmaster.
1. Why can't you do a World Tour online on Rock Band? I love playing the game, but I don't have anyone at the house to go on tour with me. I can use the guitar and wireless mic and act as two people, but I cannot focus well enough on either part when doing them together to be able to play in the Hard and Expert mode. Will RB2 address this? Is there some really good reason there's not an online World Tour option?
2. If Tribe wants to play a reunion gig I will be more than happy to be their drummer! I can't play the RB drums at all, but I sure can rock a full Pearl Export set and I'd do it for FREE! All they need to do is call.

I have conservatively seen Tribe play 25 times. I was part of about a dozen or 20 people that would follow them all around New England in 1990-91. Ironically, after I went back to college, I worked as a doorman at Pearl Street in Northampton, MA and wound up being their security. It netted me a signed poster that still hangs on my wall, as well as some other autographed billboards. Even more ironically, I managed a band that lived/rehearsed in their old house in Brighton. It wasn't planned and I didn't know it until I was actually watching them rehearse and they told me. Really strange. Obviously, I am firmly in the please re-unite column. Their music was so far ahead of its time in 1991, when I share it with friends who have never heard them they are totally blown away. I keep predicting that their music won't stay anonymous forever, and perhaps it will crash into mainstream re-igniting the genre. I hope.

Small world, Brian told Merry that he wanted to email me @ tribe. Then I get the "Google Tribe" vibe and find this.. Cool.
Hi Bry hope life is treating you well, Mer should be forwarding you my email, the one I registered here with is only checked once a month or so.
My story is similar to Bryan's. Seen them more, worked with them less apart from occasionally hauling gear when they happened by I didn't work with them at all. I was a super fan in the early 90's. Along with The Heritix and Big Catholic Guilt.
So yea, hell yea. Lets see a reunion show. Double bill with the Heritix and I could die happy the day after the show.

A note to Bryan.
I've been digging around and saw that Eric and Terri worked on The "Thief" series of video games. If I remember correctly Marc LeBlank also worked on thief.

A note to Bryan. I've been digging around and saw that Eric and Terri worked on The "Thief" series of video games. If I remember correctly Marc LeBlank also worked on thief. Not to mention the game "System Shock" and its sequel. Terri did some truly amazing voice work on these, as well as the Thief games.

terri's voice work on both system shock is a soul of those games. i remember, when i for first time heard her shodan voice in system shock demo on my 486. no later game was better than this, not even this super-hyped bioshock.

i saw them only once. i was the house soundguy at the club they were playing at here in manchester nh. i was so blown away by the show i dont have the words to discribe what i felt watching.i had a long talk with janet before soundcheck,so approachable no 'star' attitude. all the band was like that. cant say that about alot of bands i have or had to work with/for. later that summer they were playing in ny city,so was a band i was working for,i saw janet outside the venue they were at and she remembered me!!! asked if i was there for the tribe show.i was sooooo bummed out that i had another gig that night and could not attend. the drummer from the band i was working for was like'dude lighten up, they play boston all the time.you'll see them again. nope, touring kept me away from boston when tribe played. i was in aukland new zealand when i heard they are broken up. it was like getting punched in the stomache. so now here it is many years later.i play my 'Abort' disk at most of the gigs i do.almost every time i get asked who's disk am i playing,no matter what style of band im going to be mixing that night.was pretty shocked when dimebag darrel and vinnie paul told me they loved this disk. they both sat behind my console one night ,and after 'Daddys home' he got up and said"man someone in that band put up with alot of pain''. i work for Lady Gaga now,she loves 'abort' had convert it to mp3 for her to listen. enough rambling on...... ya i would give pretty much anything to be able to see them play again.would pay any ticket price, travel from anywhere just to see them play one more time. like i said... enough from me
