Thanks Steve for all the mp3 files. I just got back from a work trip and the files are gone. Is there anyway to repost them? Once again, thanks for sharing ! All of the shows that Steve has been so kind to share with us will be available for download on the Live mp3 Page. I will try to get the links up tonight. I am not promicing anything though. There is a link to the Ovations show in Steve's post on page two of this post. I have already uploaded the files to my server I just haven't had the time to design the page and upload it yet.

Thanks very much to both of you for making this stuff available. I know there's a bit of work to it and know that I am very grateful as I'm sure everyone else is. Steve L. I imagine there will be a few tracks that weren't included in the yousendit links? I noted a DJ stating something about them doing "Downtown" as an encore, but was not one of the tracks I was able to download. Thanks again for all your efforts.

Steve sent me the same links that he also posted on the board. I got what you got. I am not sure that I am going to put up all of the 87 demos. I think I am just going to post the demo of the song Speed which did not make it onto any of their releases. I am not sure what to do with the interviews which I have not listened to yet. I should have some new stuff on the live mp3 page in the next hour.

John, unfortunately that's all there was to the broadcast. They played Downtown at the show, but 'BCN didn't broadcast it.
There's nothing extra... all the songs are in the links I posted.
I do have quite a few more shows available, but they're all audience recordings and of somewhat questionable sound quality. The ones I've posted are probably the best sounding of the bunch.
I'll try to pick a couple more and get those recorded as well.

Thanks Steve L for organizing these, the MP3 page looks great! Steve O, thanks for clarifying about the omitted track(s). I have some more live material I need to post as well, once I get it off analog cassette. I have a couple live recordings, 1 partial from Club Babyhead in Providence and the other from their free Hatch Shell show. The latter I think has their cover of "Baby, it's you"

Steve L, I have space we can use to host more live shows. At least for the time being. There are other ways to share stuff, but maybe if we put them up for a period of time & then evaluate which shows are essential & which are not then we can keep up the good ones & after some time drop the inferior ones.
Maybe we keep the live songs that never were recorded in a studio as well. Just thinking about saving space if we have to.
But my point is, if you need to utilise me to host more live shows etc, I am offering.

Steve.... looks like you got the Rumble show, that's great. I hadn't hooked up my boom box to the computer, so that saves me the aggravation, and the quality of Steve's files are much better than mine.
I'd love to hear any demos of the unreleased tracks, like you have for Speed. Did any exist for Go and Stevie? I'm sure they must have recorded Go somehow, sometime.
Thanks, this is great! now if only for Janet's solo record......

John, I have the Hatch Shell show too. My recording of it is pretty good, but not great.
Here's the full list of stuff I have that isn't posted yet. If anyone has any great preference for what I should digitize, just let me know. I'm not going to do it all... most of it sounds lousy (BTW, when looking for all of this stuff, I came across a really great recording of Think Tree from '92, so if anyone's interested, I might do that one too... another one of my favorite bands from that era).
Unknown date - Boston College (probably around 92) 7/21/89 - City Hall - Boston 3/2/90 - Club Ell at Northeastern U. 4/23/92 - HMV Music in Cambridge, MA 4/29/92 - Decadence in Manchester, NH 8/15/92 - Hatch Shell - Boston 3/27/93 - Gompei's Pub at WPI - Worcester 12/10/93 - Avalon in Boston 5/6/94 - The Sting (not sure where that was... anyone?)

Steve:
Thanks for everything - this is fantastic. If you have time could you create a file for the Avalon show. I still remember that show pretty vividly - they were back in town after touring in support of Sleeper. I thought it was a great show - I never would have thought Tribe would be no more in four months or so. Thanks.

Steve O,
I'd be most interested in the Hatch Shell and HMV shows, or shows with songs not appearing on albums, but I yield to your judgment on quality.
Thanks a million for your efforts!

Steve O, I'll check the quality of my Hatch Shell recording...I walked in late to this one, so your copy may be more complete. The BC show date I may have if it's the one with the Bosstones opening up. I'll check my journal. I think that's the show where they did a pixies medley built into abort. My requests would be the two earliest shows above...1989,1990 with the hopes that Goodbye Harry or other obscure songs may be. Wow! Think Tree....Hire a Bird was their big song. I liked them too. It'd be nice to hear that as well. Thanks for everything, you have really shared some cool stuff with us die hards!

Unbelievable that this stuff is coming out. I personally would kill for any recording of a Tribe song I'm pretty sure was called 'Vast Wastelands".
Does anyone remember that one? Is it on any of this new stuff coming soon?

Excellent demos! "Hope is not a storm" and "Stand in a box" in my Tribe's Top 5 now!
