Welcome to Tribe's message board.
I put this website together because I know there are a lot of Tribe fans out there. Maybe we can prove to the band that there are a lot of us out there who would love to see some kind of a reunion.

Hey Steve, It's Perry, I played drums with Janet back in 95-97. I was on her ill fated solo record and did tons of shows & showcases with her. I'm in some of the Janet solo pix on your website. I do have the complete record we did in NY in 96, if you're interested contact me iamperjay@aol.com

Have to love the internet ...
Cleaning out the attic and came across some old CD's from the early 90's and was listening to Abort (one of my favorite albums of the time).
Was trying to search for a copy of "Here at the Home" to buy and came across this site.
Did anything every happen with Janet's solo album? I thought it was stuck in the evil record labels vault.
Keep the flame burning ...

Living in Providence RI in the early 90s, Tribe really struck a chord. I was of course originally hooked by Here at the Home and Joyride...but eventually settled into the favorites that I still play at high volume while cruising from job to job...Dogflower....Romeo Poe...beautiful. I had the pleasure of seeing Tribe at a small club in Providence, The Strand. They played, we danced, wonderful, wonderful time. Lives go on and I don't imagine that even if they did reunite I'd be able to find the time to see them again...now I own/run two businesses, am married, have a daughter...but I hope that Eric, Janet and the rest of the Tribe know that I listen to them still, love their music and wish them all the best, wherever they are.
Thanks, Tribe. You'll always play (loudly) in my car.

I saw Tribe in 1990 I believe it was the Channel either in late 1989 or early 1990. It was a great show and a great venue to see a band like them. But, time has a way of bringing on new things, different but still great, like kids and family. Life goes on but thanks for the site. Brought back some good memories.

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to add how much I've loved Tribe over the years (still do, naturally!).
I always looked for Janet's solo album, and I remember hearing Dirigible on the radio a few times (and actually Song to Salome, during a brief interview once). I'd love to hear that someday!
I was fortunate enough to get some recordings for the last Tribe songs (Stand in a Box, Stiletto Boy, etc) that I hope will see the light of day somehow, as they're great!
p.s. how can I "re-activate" my account? Just wondering....
Thanks!

Heh. I'm another person who found this site while looking for a copy of "Here at the Home." (Haven't found one, yet.)
Paul, if you've got recordings of unreleased Tribe songs, don't hold out on us! Any chance you could offer them as MP3s, or some such? Please?

I don't mind at all, but I would feel more comfortable checking (and getting approval) from Steven, the Board Administrator. I wouldn't want to infringe upon any of the band members at all.
Steven?

Hi, I found my old Abort cd while browsing for tunes to share with my new friends up in Quebec. I was a Tribe fan in Boston for a few years and even saw them at the Channel. Don't recall the year but the show rocked. And I fell in lust with Janet! I have music friends in Montreal and some of the smaller mountain towns North of Montreal, and I have a feeling they're all going to flip over Tribe.
By the way, does anyone know where Janet is these days??
Peace, AB
